When many people think of air conditioning they think of making a room cooler. In fact an air conditioning system can do a lot more than that, including Heating.
Heat pumps are a super efficient way of heating an area
When an air conditioning unit is set to 'cool' a space. The heat from the area being cooled is absorbed by refrigerant which in turn rejects that heat to the outside air. When your air conditioning system is acting as a 'Heat Pump' the cycle is reversed. With heat extracted from the outside air and transferred to the room/area to be heated.
All round total Climate Control - Heating, Cooling, Air Filtration, De-humidification
Heat pumps do not even need for the outside to be hot to work. In fact they can operate at very low temperatures all through the winter months. With 3 or more units of heat given out for each unit of electrical energy put into the system, a heat pump is MUCH more efficient than other more traditional means of heating. With the additional advantages that the system can be put into cooling when required, the environment benefits from air filtration and comfortable humidity levels are always maintained.
